Ernesto Phan
Ernesto Phan is the co-founder of Score FC, a family-oriented soccer training program dedicated to developing young athletes both on and off the field. With over 50 years of soccer experience, Ernesto has dedicated his life to the sport, not only as a player but also as a coach and mentor. His love for soccer began at a young age and has inspired generations of players to pursue their passion for the game.
As a coach, Ernesto emphasizes the importance of building strong fundamentals, mental toughness, and teamwork. His coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that success is achieved through hard work, dedication, and continuous improvement. Ernesto is committed to providing personalized, high-quality training that helps players reach their full potential.

Ernesto Phan has a rich and accomplished history in soccer, both as a player and a coach. His passion for the sport began at a young age and has shaped his entire career. Growing up in Lima, Peru, Ernesto was immersed in soccer culture, and his natural talent for the game became evident early on and as he grew up he had the privledge of playing along side many great South American soccer players who have had great careers as player like him and evidentlygo on to coaching.
In his playing career, Ernesto was known for his technical ability, vision, and leadership on the field. He played for several high-level teams, excelling in both indoor and outdoor soccer. His playing career was marked by success, and his experience as a player laid the foundation for his future in coaching. Playing professionally in South America has given him so much experience that it helpe transitioned him to coaching after his playing days. He had a great focus on helping young athletes develop both technically and mentally. His coaching journey began After coming to the New York, with local youth teams, where he became known for his ability to identify talent and help players reach their potential. His emphasis on discipline, teamwork, and fundamentals quickly gained him a reputation as a coach who not only built strong players but also fostered a love for the game.
Ernesto started his coaching career here on Long Island, coaching in the LIJSL with Northport Titans back in 1992 with Coach Jim Spampinato. His son, Alvaro, played on this team along with other talented players that have gone to win league titles and even the Waldbaum’s cup. Along with the boys team in Northport he started training a younger girls team from Northport, and Elwood. Later on he began Coaching with the Long Island Lady Riders for 10 years, and won a national Championship. This 10 year stint had produced and had many talented players that have played with the Womens National team: Kim Wyant, Sarah Whalen, Mary Francis Monroe, Christie Welsch, Crystal Dunn.
This lead to his coaching Career at the NJCAA level at Nassu Community College, LIJ Select teams, and lastly the Score FC teams.
